We found Daphne on a beach in St Lucia after being dumped at a busy car park.
We brought her some chicken to eat in a desperate attempt to give her some nutrition, and despite being so frail and barely able to hold her head up, she wagged her little tail and took the food so gently from our hands, so we decided we needed
to save her.
We have done our research and have found a way to bring her safely to the UK so that she can be rehomed. So far we have sorted the worming, flea and tick treatment, and have found a great organisation who will help us at no profit to get her the medicines to get better and the right paper work to get her to safety. Once she is in the UK we hope to find her a loving home with a big back yard to play in. St Lucia do not have the system in place to rescue dogs and it is very common for dogs to be bought locally and then mistreated before being then dumped to be left to die. So her only hope is for us to find her an amazing family in the UK.
We understand it’s a pandemic and many people are struggling, but if you have any spare money to donate no matter how small, it would be so greatly appreciated. We will upload pictures of the receipts from her treatments on here so you can follow her journey and see exactly what your donations will be helping with.
This is just one of many dogs, but we have to start somewhere and her little face stole our hearts.
