DAPHNE & RACHEL SHAVE THEIR HEADS FOR GIRLS' EDUCATION

Hello! We are Daphne and Rachel, and on January 11, 2025, we celebrated the New Year by shaving our heads in our school’s annual Amnesty Headshave!

This wasn’t just an impulsive decision; it was an act of self-expression against the beauty standards and the patriarchy. More often than not, women are told what they can't do, that they aren’t good enough, or that their success is based on something other than their ability. Shaving our heads was our way of breaking free from those comments and redefining what beauty and worth mean to us.

This is why we are raising funds for the Malala Fund that supports girls’ education globally. Women and girls are far too often told what they can’t achieve, but education is a transformative tool that proves otherwise. As two young women whose lives have been shaped by education, we’ve seen firsthand how education can unlock potential, empower voices, and change trajectories.

We believe that every girl deserves the chance to learn, grow, and create opportunities for herself, regardless of where she’s from. By donating, you can help break down the barriers that prevent so many young women from accessing classrooms, opportunities, and brighter futures.
