Help Daphne get an autism service dog

Hello friends and family!!

We have come to a huge point in our Autism Journey with the decision to proceed in obtaining an autism service dog for Daphne.

This is a HUGE undertaking as not only will it require funding, but this will also change the dynamics of how our family is able to function on a day to day basis for the better!!

We always aim to provide Daphne with the best care, however her Autism, ADHD, and Severe Anxiety has led us to this point. Her care team, of doctors, therapists, ABA providers and more, do feel that this animal will help Daphne develop into a self sufficient, independent adult. This has always been our goal for her, since day one, however, everything that we have tried up to this point just hasn’t been enough.

So, friends and family, you all know that asking for any type of help is difficult for the Hanlin’s, however, we cannot achieve this goal on our own, and so, we are asking with very humbled hearts for help.

This dog will be able to help Daphne with self regulation, disrupt self harming behaviors, stop elopement, decrease distraction, decrease anxiety, INCREASE positive behaviors, INCREASE self advocacy, INCREASE independency, and so much more!!

We are working with Highland Canine Training LLC in Harmony NC!! They are truly amazing as they have a SPECIFIC department that focuses on training animals for Autism assistance. We will provide a link to their website below for more details if you’d like to do your own research.

There are 3 phases of payment:

The first being our deposit, to hold our spot, of 2500.00

The second which is 50% of the total cost of the animal and the start of training equaling 10,000.00

The final phase is the total remaining amount due for the dog, plus delivery, mileage, lodging, and training of everyone that will come in contact with the dog. 7500.00.

We know that this is a HUGE goal to meet, however, myself (Megan), Chris, our care team and so many more, truly feel that this is the key to Daphnes success.
