Daphne Ellis, my fiancée, recently received word that her mother, Scarlett Savage, passed away unexpectedly.

Their relationship was complicated. I've seen the weight of her mother burden her for years— trauma, flashbacks, and memories. The clear void of motherhood made it difficult for Daphne during her formative years. Yet, she has grown into one of the strongest women I know. I've watched her work around her hardships, expanding her mind and spirit to overcome anything that stands in her way.

With nobody remaining close to Scarlett and Daphne being next of kin, this burden lands familiarly and bitterly on Daphne's lap.

I've created this page to open the door to any support that might be available to Daphne.
