Cricket Needs Surgery

My name is Sadie, and I'm a friend of Cricket and his sweet human, Sarah. Cricket is a beautiful, happy, energetic Australian Shepherd/Border Collie mix who loves agility, backpacking, swimming, and trail running. He is only two and a half, but he's recently run into some major medical issues and needs your help.

After multiple vet visits, physical therapy sessions, and consultations with surgeons, Sarah has learned that Cricket has hip dysplasia, a pulled iliopsoas muscle (a muscle in his hip) and a torn CCL (a muscle in his knee, the dog version of an ACL).

Cricket needs physical therapy for the torn iliopsoas, and he will eventually need surgery for his hip dysplasia. But today we are raising money for his upcoming surgery to repair his CCL. The tear won't heal on its own, and he needs this surgery as soon as possible to reduce permanent, irreversible joint damage and relieve his pain. The surgery is called Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy (TPLO), and the estimated costs start at $4261.10. After that, he will require PT visits and further rehabilitation.

Sarah is an exceptional parent to Cricket and does so much to give him the best dog life imaginable. She is a full-time Ph.D. student and needs help covering the cost of surgery, as well as future PT and vet bills. Cricket deserves to continue living his beautiful, active, joyful life running and traveling alongside Sarah. They will be grateful for any contribution you can make to Cricket's recovery.
