Dear friends and family,
I have been given a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to join an incredible group of Christian leaders on a trek through Nepal. On this two-week trek we will visit Christian missions projects, connect with local pastors, and hike to Everest Base Camp. This trip will give me the unique opportunity to connect with key partners that are addressing injustices in Southeast Asia while experiencing the beauty of Nepal. These local partners work with Venture to provide food, water, and education to at risk women and children in the villages we will visit. One of the greatest obstacles facing this country is the issue of human trafficking, which is a result of extreme poverty and a lack of education. It will be a life changing experience for me to work with Venture in this region of the world because of the impact of their mission. I will get to meet with local ministry leaders, collaborate on leadership topics, expand my worldview, participate in evangelistic ministry, and deepen my passion for the Lord and for some of the least reached people in the world. I believe deep seeds will be planted, and I am looking forward to all that the Lord has in store.
The Everest Base Camp Leadership Trek is scheduled for August 5-20, 2019, and is a partnership between Venture & North Central University. More information about Venture’s projects in Southeast Asia and the Everest Base Camp Leadership Trek may be found online at: www.venture.org.
Would you please consider sacrificing financially as I sacrifice physically for this cause? The trip costs $3,599, and I would greatly appreciate your support. Much of this cost will go directly to supporting the local ministries in Nepal.
I am sacrificing for this fundraising initiative by committing to 16 weeks of intense physical training, taking time off of work, personally paying for my trekking gear, personally paying for my flight to and from Nepal, and spending two weeks apart from my family. Not only do I invite your financial support, I also invite your prayers for a safe and transformative trip!
