Dante Schipani Memorial Fund

Help honor and support the memory of Dante Schipani, a loyal friend, devoted brother, and loving son.

It is with a heavy heart and sadness which I share the news of the passing of Dante Schipani. Dante passed before us far too soon on Sunday, September 7th at the age of 23. This fund has been established to assist the Schipani family with funeral and memorial expenses, grief therapy and unanticipated financial burdens as they navigate through this incredibly difficult time.

Dante Schipani was and will always be, a vibrant soul. He will be forever remembered for his infectious energy, playful spirit, and the hero he became to be in life. Unlike Dante's favorite hero, Spiderman, Dante was true to life. His only super human ability was simply being a super human. He was a source of strength to his younger sister and brother, Elena and Gabe. He lived authentically, loved fiercely and touched all who he encountered as well as those who just had the opportunity to witness him shred on a snowboard.

Dante's love for life was most visible in his greatest passion, snowboarding. Snowboarding was not just a sport to Dante but a way of life. Whether it be endlessly hiking or sledding the backcountry to find his line, building features with his friends or standing proudly atop a podium at a competition. Dante lived life courageously, seeking adventure, and testing his determination in his own pursuit of the perfect line, the perfect pathway in life while persevering through any struggles or obstacles set before him upon his way to that mountain peak.

To Dante, life and snowboarding were one. They were never about medals or awards, they were about community, freedom, bringing joy to others, chasing beauty in the everyday and inspiring others to do the same. No matter how many times he may have fallen Dante always picked himself back up and continued to challenge himself.

The mountains may hold his lines forever, but his true legacy is in the lives he touched, the joy he spread, and the strength he showed in carving his own path.

No family is ever prepared for this kind of loss. The Schipani family is now facing unexpected expenses as they plan Dante’s memorial and take time to heal. Your contributions will go directly toward:

Funeral and memorial arrangements

Counseling and grief therapy

Liabilities incurred during this period of loss

Every donation, no matter the size, is a gift of compassion and solidarity for a family enduring the unimaginable.

Any additional funds raised through this fundraiser which are beyond the support and need of the Schipani family will be allocated to the Chill Foundation and SOS Outreach in the name of the Dante Schipani Memorial Fund.
