Hi, my name is Dan. I am fundraising for Cancer Research as cancer has greatly impacted my family and I want to do my small part to help with working towards a cure. My father has been through four different types of cancer and is still being treated for one of them. My father-in-law had chemo, radiation and an esophagectomy surgery to treat his esophageal cancer and is having check ups every four months for surveillance. My wife has had skin cancers as well, thankfully all caught very early. I am trying to climb 15,000 feet on my MTB in the month of May and 50,000 feet in the month of June. My final goal for late summer is to bike around Lake Tahoe in one day on as many mountain bike trails as possible. This will be a 107 mile ride with 13,000 feet of elevation of change. This will be in honor of my loved ones who have battled cancer and survived, for friends that we have lost to cancer, and for all those who are in their own cancer journeys and continue to fight for life.
