Dan's Got This!

Hello, my name is Michele, I am doing this fundraiser for my brother-in-law Dan Guay and sister Kim Guay with the hope of alleviating some of the financial burdens that have been put on them.

For the many of you who may not know, Dan was diagnosed with stage two double lung cancer in February 2023. Dan and Kim were just getting to a great place together after raising three children, Kayla, Nicholas, and Megan. Dan has always been such a hard worker, dedicated father, husband and provider, his diagnosis has devastated them and their world has been turned upside down.

Dan began his journey at Roswell with numerous tests beginning in February. His first surgery on his right lung to remove several tumors was completed in April. After a couple of setbacks and being hospitalized with infections he was finally able to start to heal before he faced the second surgery. In June of 2023, Dan had the second operation to remove a larger tumor from his left lung. After sometime to heal he began his chemotherapy treatments in August 2023. Unfortunately, they were interrupted by two more additional hospital stays. The second one in September resulted in emergency surgery for a collapsed lung, large blood clot, and 12 days in the hospital. While we were all very hopeful because the cancer was caught early, it has been devastating on Dan (physically) and the entire family, mentally, emotionally, and financially.

Dan's NYS Disability of 26 weeks has run out and due to Dan's lost wages and anticipated lost wages of both he and Kim, who is facing her own medical setbacks, we are asking and would be grateful for any donation. Also please keep Dan and his family in your close thoughts as they face an uncertain future.

Dan always says "I got this!" but we in turn always tell him "We got this with you!"
