Honoring Dan's Legacy

Donation protected
Update 1.25.2019: I want to take the time to again thank everyone that stood behind us as Dan made a valiant effort to fight his pancreatic cancer.  It is with a heavy heart that I share the news of his passing in the evening of January 22, 2019.  Dan touched the lives of an enormous amount of people and we hope to carry on his memory in the years to come.

In the wake of his passing, there are still many things to figure out, but we're all taking it one step at a time. His celebration of life is scheduled for Saturday, February 2nd, and more details are here: http://www.angelonefuneralhome.com/obituary/daniel-pannullo-jr

Again, your outpouring of support, both financially and emotionally, has made such a difference in our lives and there's no way to fully express my gratitude. Please continue to celebrate Dan and keep his memory alive. He wanted people to remember him through smiles and not tears.

It all started with what appeared to be a stomach ulcer.  A month and a half of various tests later, my husband Dan received the surprising diagnosis that the abdominal pains he had been experiencing were due to stage IV pancreatic cancer.  Since the cancer had already gone into metastasis affecting his lymphatic system, operation was not an option.  Pancreatic cancer is the fourth deadliest cancer in the United States and often is not caught until it has spread to other organs, and it is sadly without a cure.  Our only option is for him to undergo an aggressive chemo regimen called FOLFIRINOX with the hope of controlling the disease and improving Dan's quality of life.

Dan is a wonderful husband, a beloved son and brother, and a cherished member of a very large Italian family.  An IT director by day, Dan spends his off-work hours mainly as a soccer referee for the amateur, professional, and collegiate leagues in and around Eastern Pennsylvania.  Dan also enjoys playing soccer recreationally as well as running road races, his favorite being the Broad Street Run 10 Miler.  His friends come from all areas of his life, through his high school years, teammates from rec league soccer, peers in the referee community,  and his work colleagues.  Dan has always been a warm, welcoming person to have in your life.

Many have reached out asking for ways like this to support us as we navigate this new path in life for Dan.  We have been very fortunate through our employments and access to the health care he needs, but there are so many unknowns both emotionally and financially when it comes to cancer treatment and disease management.  We truly appreciate the outpouring of love Dan has received already.  We are setting up this page for anyone who would like to use this as means of helping out, but please know there are no expectations from us and no donation will be used frivolously.

From the bottom of our hearts, we truly thank you for your support.
