Daniel, or DanO, sometimes Danny, has been a dental assistant for 35 years, helping people in the dental offices he has worked in, relaxing them, making them smile, and being at ease in such a high-stress environment. And it has worked! His charisma and charm, which only he can bring, have shown themselves when we are together in public, and people recognize and compliment him for how he has helped them.
Recently, I have seen a change in him and him not being himself due to the amount of discomfort he is having due to a failing hip. I see him struggle to play with his two kids as best he can, but I see it in his eyes; he is in pain. A stubborn man, as any male would be in admitting he needs help, he continues as best he can with his pain. Recently, the pain was severe enough for him to go to the ER. There, they told him what he thought would be needed, a hip replacement. Unprepared for such an emergency, I am reaching out to ask for help with this as I know he will not. I would love to see my Danny back to his normal self. Would you help him by giving something, anything, to allow him not to worry about working and bills while he recovers? Thank you all so much for any help.
