On Halloween, October 31st, our dear friend, Danny Yamanaka, passed away at the age of 44. He had been recuperating for several months due to a heart attack and aortic aneurism that resulted in an emergency thirteen hour open heart surgery on Mother's Day this year. Consequently, Danny began to recover over a two and a half month stay in the ICU and then a rehabilitation center where he continued to persevere and relearned how to complete basic tasks such as walking and putting clothes on. The severity of his illness, including further complications to his vascular and renal systems, had greatly weakened him. He fought to get better with the encouragement of his loving family.

Danny's struggle ended when he collapsed and stopped breathing at his mother's home, and despite the efforts of paramedics, he never regained consciousness. He leaves behind his wife, five children, parents, brother, friends and the Rainbow family. As a result of his illness his family is left with a staggering amount of medical and hospital bills, and other unpaid bills as he was unable to work for the last six months. His wife, Tracey, was needed at home to care for him and their childen, making it difficult for her to work as well.
