I must have a kidney transplant. My best friend has agreed to give me one of his kidneys. This means Monty is willing to have one of his kidneys surgically removed to make my life better. Donate today to make this possible. Monty (donor) is on the right, I (recipient) am on the left.
After transplant I must travel twice a week to Tyler, Tx so they can adjust levels of anti-rejection meds.
These twice a week trips will continue up to three months after the surgery. These trips are critical for the transplant to work.
My sister gave me her old car to make these trips (it replaced my even older car that died), but its age is showing. Right now the air-conditioner has died and is in need of repair. Besides gas and repairs, I need to pay someone to drive me each trip the weeks after surgery.
If I can't meet these after surgery expenses, they will NOT do the transplant surgery!
I have been unable to work for nearly five years and I barely make it on my disability check and am unable to save any money to meet these expenses.
Every donation helps! I want to be healthy again so I can get off social security disability.
Please consider what it would mean to you if your kidneys had failed, you were ready for the transplant and all you needed were those last few dollars to be able to fund the transplant--and you were broke.
