Help Danny Shelton's Family

Yesterday, my best friend died. I never thought I'd be typing something like this. At least not until I was old and grey. Danny Shelton was the kindest, most gentle giant that I have ever met. He was an only child but after being best friends for 19 years, he became my brother.  Danny always fought fiercly for the underdog. He loved pitbulls and animal rescue. He was a wildlife rehabilitator with me. He loved music and guns. And more than anything, Danny loved his family. Danny died in a one vehicle accident yesterday. He left behind 3 kids and wife. His youngest is just 5 months old. His wife, Sian is a stay at home mom. I'm hoping we can come together to raise some funds to make his family's life a little easier. Funeral expenses, groceries, anything they might need to get by. If you can find it in your heart, please pitch in as we know he would have helped any one of us, if we were in need.  We love you, brother. Porter County Sheriff’s Officer’s responded to a single vehicle fatal car crash in Pleasant Township today at 1:45pm on State Road 8 in the area of 30 East. Initial investigation shows the black 2013 Ford Escape was traveling eastbound on State Road 8 when the vehicle went off the roadway to the south for unknown reasons, subsequently striking a tree. The driver, 35 YOM Danny Shelton from Kouts, was pronounced dead at the scene. Shelton was not wearing a seat belt but airbags were deployed. Toxicology results are pending. Assisting at the scene were Kouts PD, Hebron PD, Kouts Fire, Porter EMS, H & A Towing, Porter County Coroner’s Office, and Porter County Central Communications.
