Danny’s Whitemans Funeral

Donation protected
Hi, we are Danny’s parents Jennie and Callum, we would firstly like to thank everyone for the funds raised for Danny’s hospital stay that helped support us being there and our house at home.
Sadly Danny has passed away, he sadly passed away on April the 10th, he was with us for 4 years and may I say the best 4 years we have ever experienced. He was born with the condition Cystic Fibrosis underwent a huge bowel operation at only hours old. We spent 56 days in hospital at Kings College London. He fought his whole life, he suffered his entire life battling against Cystic Fibrosis, after many many hospital admissions and new drugs were fought for and hundreds of days inside hospital walls, he was always smiling he was always laughing and always eating chocolate buttons and badgering the nurses for all the orange juice possible on the wards. He had many more operations over the years to help him breathe, to help administer drugs and to help him live through this awful condition. He’s is our inspiration!
On February 12th we took Danny to hospital to what we thought would be our normal admissions something we were so used to. How wrong were we. After 3 days at pembury hospital we were blue lighted to Kings College Hospital where we then spent the truly most awful 2 months of our entire lives, we got told Danny had Liver failure. Then we got told his kidneys had failed. After a long 3weeks 3 days intubated we finally got our baby back he was extrubated and Callum and I couldn’t have been more happy! He was nodding at us, pulling his blankets back up when the nurses pulled them down. He was giggling at the super hero baby book I read every evening before it was bedtime. He even asked us for a drink and told us he loved us! Moments we will never ever forget, those 4 days were magical. Then, the most unimaginable thing happened. After a biopsy on Danny’s kidneys, Danny had to be intubated again, we only thought it was temporary whilst his lungs got back up and running after lesions were found in the right lung and his left lung had collapsed. How wrong were we, 4 and a half weeks we watched our boy deteriorate and become so unbelievably poorly, the doctors and nurses did everything they could to help him! He fought and fought to lengths I didn’t even know were even possible!! He is our little lion! King of the jungle the most fierce most beautiful little boy known!
April the 9th Callum and I had the conversation which no parent should ever have to have or have to break to our families. We got told there wasn’t anything else they could do, he wasn’t going to make it and it was time to say goodbye.
Early hours on Thursday the 10th of April Danny was laid in our arms, still holding on he was laying on us and we read his his story, we kissed him thousands of times we told him it was okay and we told him we loved him and at 1:06AM Danny took his last breathes in his Mummy and Daddy’s arms.
We would like to thank everyone for their on going support but also wanted to reach out and ask for help to give our baby the best send off we possibly can. Even if it’s £1 or just a share I know as a family we would be the most grateful and blessed to have your help.
Thankyou again, Jennie, Callum, Loghan and Bobbi xxxx
