As some of you know, my son, Danny, got into a motorcycle accident about 3 weeks ago. Luckily, no major injuries came from the accident. However, while in the trauma unit, he was told a mass was found inside his head. We came to find out he had an AVM and was transferred to Barrow Neurological Institute.
Last Monday, he had an angiogram and embolization, which lasted about 3-4 hours. The very next day, he underwent a craniotomy, which was about an 8-hour surgery. The doctors said the surgery was successful and they removed the whole thing.
Recovery is going to be somewhat of a process. He has a lot of restrictions and has to do speech therapy as well as physical therapy. He can't be left alone and is restricted from working for several months.
My baby boy is only 22, yet he and his fiancé are new homeowners and happen to live out of state. He would never ask for help, so that's why I'm doing this for him. He's so young and has his whole life ahead of him, hopefully not full of debt. He does have medical insurance, but it won’t cover 100% of the cost.
I have had many people asking what they could do to help, or have even suggested doing a go fund me, which is why I am here .
Any help towards impending medical expenses/other bills would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you all and God Bless.
