Hello, my name is Daniel Benner.  Back in March of this year I had a horrible illness happen to me and my family. I contracted a bacterial infection called necrotizing fascitis which resulted in the amputation of all my limbs. The upper extremity specialist explained my options for receiving a prosthetic hand. Unfortunately I found out my insurance will not cover it.  As of now I am scheduled for surgery to prepare for the new hand. I am a very hands on Dad and very involved with my son's activities.  My hopes are that I can get back to playing sports with my son and just the everyday things that most dads and husbands do with their families.  I really enjoy my work and I am too motivated and too young to not want to go back to work.   Also I need to get back to work so I can provide for my family.  This is a time sensitive matter because our funds are running very low and our insurance is about to run out.  Thanks for all of your prayers and concerns as our family has traveled through this unexpected journey.  Please continue to pray for our family.
