Ok my friends heres my situation...
It seems that 35 yrs of bartending has caught up with me. Close to 4 yrs ago I was informed by my doctor that I had cirocesss of the liver and was in need of a transplant. I kept this information to myself not to burden anyone with my problem. What I considered to be a perk of the job (free alcohol) has come to bite me in the butt. I was never the kind of person that sat around alone with a bottle. I was a beer drinker with the occasional shot. I did however hang out in whatever bar /club I was working at where I was familiar with my customers/friends. Which led to never ending free or half price drinks. My doctor told me I was working with 5% of a liver and gave me a few yrs to live. I havent touched a drop going on 4 yrs. But I do need help with the cost of funeral expenses: plot, coffin, tombstone, cremation, urn etc. My doctor told me it was highly unlikely that i'd find a liver in NY so I moved out to Kansas City to be with my daughter and granddaughters in my last days and God willing get on a transplant list. Im not the type to ask for charity (Probably my silly human pride) but I dont want to burden my family with the cost of my demise so im reaching out to my friends or anyone willing to help me with this matter. I appreciate anything anyone can do including prayers since I am concerned with what happens to me after this life. From the bottom of my heart I thank you for your attention on my unfortunate circumstance.
Stay blessed everyone.
