Danny and Carolyn would never ask for help, but the time has come that we need to stand together and support this amazing family!

For those of you who haven’t had the pleasure of meeting Danny, he is a loving husband & father of four, a caring son, a protective brother, a fun uncle, and a loyal friend. Danny has been battling a rare progressive lung disease, Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (PAH) for the majority of his life and over the last few months his health has taken a significant turn for the worse. Danny’s doctors have decided that it is time to move forward with a double lung transplant & he has now been approved and listed. This is something the family has been wanting to hold off on for as long as possible because they say it’s like trading one disease for another. It has come to the point that they are hopeful for a better quality of life for him and are ready to embrace this process.

The double lung transplant costs are insurmountable and unfortunately, insurance only covers so much. This does not include the cost of medications, additional hospital bills, living expenses for the family, travel expenses for weekly visits to Cleveland Clinic for 6 months following surgery, etc. 

It is a heavy weight that this family of six is carrying, but we can make a difference! Danny has been self-employed for the last 8 years and has been the sole provider for his family so they will be without income for the foreseeable future. Every donation, no matter how small, can help cover the cost of the transplant and the necessary expenses that follow.
