Christmas Blessing for Danny & His Son
Danny — better known by many as Danny Ballpark — is one of those people who shows up for everyone and never asks for anything in return.
Danny was born with fluid on his brain and has been handicapped his entire life. Despite that, he never let it slow him down. If there was a game within a two-hour radius, Danny was there. High school sports, college games, local events — he showed up every time with a smile, encouragement, and genuine love for people. Many of us have seen him at games for years without ever knowing the battles he was fighting behind the scenes.
Danny is also a single father who loves his son deeply and has worked hard his entire life to provide for him. Even into his later years, he has continued working — not because it was easy, but because it was necessary and because that’s who he is.
A couple of months ago, Danny’s life changed overnight. He suffered a serious brain seizure that left him hospitalized and on a ventilator. As a result, he is currently unable to work or drive for six months. Along with this has come overwhelming medical bills and the sudden loss of income. Along with that, he has been dealt a bad hand of car trouble and now does not have a running vehicle — something he would never talk about unless asked.
What’s remarkable is that you would never know any of this by talking to him. Danny still smiles. He still encourages others. He still shows gratitude. He would never ask anyone for help.
This Christmas season, we felt led to change that.
We surprised Danny with $1,000 as a small Christmas blessing — not because it fixes everything, but because we wanted him to know he is seen, valued, and loved. After seeing his situation more clearly, we realized that one gift wasn’t enough, and that’s why this GoFundMe was created.
All funds raised will go directly toward:
• Ongoing medical bills
• Living expenses while Danny is unable to work
• Supporting Danny and his son as they navigate this difficult season
We are sharing this not out of pressure, but out of opportunity. If you feel led to help — whether big or small — it will make a real difference. And if you can’t donate, sharing this page means more than you know.
Danny has spent his life showing up for others. This Christmas, we’re hoping to show up for him.
Thank you for reading, thank you for your kindness, and God bless.
