Hello friends and family,
We as a family are reaching out to you to help my brother Danny. To know him is to love him. No matter how close you may be with him, you know that he is loving and easy going. He makes us all laugh without trying and is always good company.
Now it is our turn to be good company and comfort Danny. He has been diagnosed with Stage 3 Sarcoma Cancer. A sarcoma is a type of cancer that develops from certain tissues, like bone or muscle. Bone and soft tissue sarcomas are the main types of sarcoma. Soft tissue sarcomas can develop from soft tissues like fat, muscle, nerves, fibrous tissues, blood vessels, or deep skin tissues.
Danny has moved back to California. He is undergoing radiation treatment at UCSF in hopes that his tumors will shrink before surgery. Cancer has taken over several parts of Danny's body and they are trying to stop it from spreading by treating it with radiation first. The road is long and it will be hard, but our family is strong, united, and we have faith that Danny will beat this!
Danny's "life" was in San Antonio up until 2 months ago, including his job. Although health insurance is covering a portion, the expenses are adding up quickly. The daily travel to San Francisco, lodging, and the procedure deductibles are depleting funds fast. This is on top of Danny's regular bills that do not stop coming even though he no longer working.
Our family is reaching out for help so that our focus and attention can be on what Danny needs now. I am my brother's keeper and I have to find a way to make this happen. My brother will beat this! I speak for my family when I say thank you for taking the time to read this and to help in any way you can. Please keep Danny in your prayers as he fights for his life. He is only 22 years old!!
