My brother, Danny Garofalo was senselessly murdered on Sunday, August 21, 2016. You may have read about this or watched it on the news.
The Grand Jury met last week and decided to charged the killer with 2nd degree murder.
My name is David and I am Danny's younger brother. My family and I would first like to say thank you to everyone who has already reached out. We have been moved by the messages, the photos, the donations, and the stories/memories we have recieved. It is these gracious offerings that are helping us to remember Danny's love, kindness and devotion to his friends and family. We thank you and ask you to please continue to post memories, messages and photos on Danny's facebook wall.
Because of the unexpected nature of this tragedy, we are raising funds in Danny's honor. These funds will first be used to help with the costs incurred during these difficult times. We are hoping to get restitution to recover this money and in that case it would all go in to a trust fund that is being set up for Anthony, Danny's son.
An October Memorial is being planned in Florida where Danny's Father, Mother and 2 brothers and their families live. We can keep the funding open as there is no urgency for the trust fund for Anthony.
We know it would be important to Danny to make sure his son is well taken care of and that he will always remember his father.
