Danny Wood was admitted to St. Charles Medical Center on January 26, 2017 for immune mediated encephalopathy/encephalitis, which has caused swelling in his brain.  Danny has lost his short-term memory as a result of the swelling.

Shortly, thereafter,  Danny was diagnosed with testicular cancer (seminoma).  Doctors learned that the seminoma has caused an auto immune disease called paraneoplastic syndrome.

Danny's condition is extremely rare. His team of doctors are working vigorously with leading doctors in the country to figure out a treatment plan.

Danny is supported by many friends and family who love him very much. This is going to be a long journey for Danny.
