I am in the final hours before living in my car. I have to pay for this room every Saturday. If I’m unable to commit to the next week they book it with someone else. I moved out of my mom’s house where I lived with her and was her caregiver because she had dementia. I moved out 3/28. I’ve been in an extended stay ever since. My money runs out as of Tuesday. The date is static because of your help. 

The world has changed. The availability is less and costs so much more because of the fires. I’ve spent every dime I have. Me and Katie desperately need help. I feel completely less than to ask for your help. This entire emotional journey caring for my mom has taken me to the end of my rope. My mom of course didn’t. I will never regret my decisions. I was there for her. But I have complete disdain for the system that failed her. Once I’m back on my feet I will spend the rest of my life fighting for change that has allowed dementia patients to suffer with no help. But I’m in a very desperate place right now. One day I won’t be.
