The Danny Hooker Memorial Fundraiser was created to benefit the family and loved ones after his tragic and unexpected passing on Monday December 5, 2022
He will always be in my mind and heart. He was the love of my life, the best friend, father and husband I have ever had. - Edith
He was the best dad anyone could've ever asked for, always caring, loving, compassionate, and friendly. He would always put others before himself and would always make sure to check on his family. I wouldn't trade what we had for the world, and I am thankful I had the chance to be his son. - Braxton (son)
I (Dot) am Danny's mom, and I loved my son so much. He was a fantastic son. Edith, Abby and Braxton need your prayers and support.
Daniel was and will always be the best dad and person I ever had; I am thankful for these five short and incredible years of having him as my dad and for allowing my mom and me to be a part of his life and family. He was an amazing person, the most generous, caring, kind-hearted, and funny person I had ever met. I hope we get to be together again one day; until then, he will be missed and loved forever.- Abby (step-daughter)
Daniel A. Hooker, 51, is survived by his wife Edith, daughter Abby, and son Braxton. As well as his mother Dot, father Allen, and siblings Allison and Brian. He is also survived by his biological family, who he found just 3 short years ago. Wanda (mother), Leon (brother), and Tammy (sister) who he immediately became very close.
Danny was a dedicated husband and father who loved his family and friends. Everyone who knew him described him as incredibly generous, kind-hearted, and funny. Danny never met a stranger and would do anything he could to help someone in need.
All he ever did was give to others. Now it is our turn to give back
