Hello Family and Friends, It is with a heavy heart that the Catanio family announces the passing of our family Rock (Husband, Dad, Grandfather) Dan (Danny) Catanio. He passed away this morning (1/18/2024) surrounded by his Daughter Melanie and Wife and soul mate of over 50 years Karen Catanio. While vacationing in Mexico he had an amazing day on the resort, enjoyed the sand on the beach and the warm sun and had great laughs with the family that was with him! Later that night he suffered a heart attack and went very fast. My Dad was the kindest soul… he would do anything for anyone without question, in fact, he always put other people’s needs before himself. He was devoted to my Mom and knew from the time he was 15 years old that he wanted her and only her. He showed us what true love and commitment meant everyday. He was the other pea to my pod and was so involved in my life as well as my siblings life and our children. He was goofy and silly and my favorite thing to do was make him laugh so hard! He was very passionate and ambitious about cooking. Many of you know his journey in the culinary field and know how outstanding of a chef he was, many of you referred to him as Chef or Chef Dan. Most importantly he loved God, I know he was greeted by his family members and friends and is having the absolute best time celebrating his arrival to paradise. Please keep my family in your thoughts and prayers, if you find it in your heart to donate the funds will be used for the memorial service and for future expenses for Mom. We love you so much Dad and will miss you everyday of our lives. Rest easy and watch over us. I look forward to feeling your arms wrapped around me again. Xoxo
