Hi my name is Jill, and I'm fundraising for Dan Baum, who lost the love of his life and soul mate, Steven "Songan" Brunner, to cancer.
They shared a lifetime of memories, laughs, and life experiences, which showed how much they adored each other.
Their story began with a random encounter during a weekend festival, followed by a summer of dating adventures. They soon were a couple who had fallen in love and were a pair that fate brought together. Songan had a sharp wit and Danny has an infectious laugh, making a beautiful combination.
They favored spending time at Sandy Hook (beach, biking or just walking), get-aways to Dublin, New Hampshire to visit relatives, quiet porch nights and a competitive backgammon game. They expanded their family to include furry friends, Baby Love (Boston Terrier), Suga and Daddy - two lovely cats.
A very special occasion for them is October 21, 2013 when they married under the moon when NJ legalized gay marriage -- it was highlight for them and their relationship.
During their relationship their creative worlds merged and produced a company specializing in marketing, branding and graphic design (to name a few services). This duo obtained clients from New York City to Asbury Park and ranged from real estate companies to boardwalk concessions to wellness centers and cinemas. (https://b2creative.us/).
Sadly, Songan fell ill in January of 2022 and was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Treatment began immediately and involved lengthy hospital stays, medical interventions, home care, and equipment purchased to stabilize home care.
Suddenly and unexpectedly, Songan's health rapidly declined, and he passed on Monday April 18th, 2022.
The loss of Songan is overwhelming in so many ways - emotionally, spiritually, financially.
I'm hopeful that the GoFundMe donations might off-set some of the many expenses that have arisen since January 2022.
Donations of any amount are very much appreciated.
Thank you for reading this and loving Danny and Songan.
