Dan Moore's lung transplant fund
Donation protected
My dad was diagnosed with Pulmonary Fibrosis in Feb/2013, there is no cure for this only lung transplant. Since his diagnoses and release on 2/2013 from hospital he has been on oxygen 24/7 an still is. FDA finally approved "OFEV" in Oct/2014 which is a medicine to help this horrible disease but not cure it. My dad, Dan Moore, got the meds november of 2014 but these cost $8,000 a month luckily his private insurance covers most of it. He is on disability (after losing his amazing job and income and has exhausted all of his savings) from going to working to this it is a huge strain of my parents! My dad, dan, was 335 pounds... to make transplant list he had to be at 250 and then 230 for the actual surgery. Im happy to say he is now 219 and working 3x a week at pulomonary rehab to get it lower. After many tests at TGH hospital in Tampa,Fl he was finally accepted for the transplant list on 4/10/2015!!! We are so happy as a family for this, but the medical cost will be overwhelming for my parents between appoitments, surgery, medicines he will need (both before and after surgery) so I opened up this page to help my dad's cost which will be very over whelming! I thank you for any donation made, nothing is too small! God bless you all for even reading this and I will update all the way through his journey for new lungs! We are all TEAM DAN!
