This message is to be thankful. Thankful to you all that helped with Dani’s treatments and recovery process after her accident. We reached the amount needed for her in less than 48 hours. Our community is so beautiful, and I’m beyond grateful for each one of you. I saw every single name that helped, and many familiar ones on it. She is handling a lot at the moment, and it will take a while for her to be back on track and fully recovered, but we trust she won’t have any long-term sequelae.

She initially entered the emergency of St. Andrews War Memorial Hospital, and was then transferred to Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital where she has been looked after.

Being an immigrant and having this community is so life-changing, as her journey would have been so much tougher without this support and financial pressure on top of everything else. Insurance is definitely helping but not covering everything, specially all related to Odontology and recover period. Due to fractures on her jaw she cannot eat solids for weeks and will need special attention as her mobility is also compromised with her right broken arm and all injuries from the impact.

It takes so long for us Brazilians to be able to afford coming to Australia for the first time and then finding our feet. She is in those initial steps, as she recently arrived and was starting to get the initial clients and jobs. The help that each one of you gave, no matter how minor it may have seemed, has built a giant impact on her life. THANK YOU.

Thank you for being here! I have set up a go fund account to assist my friend Daniela Arraes who urgently needs a surgery after falling from her Scooter and fracturing several bones.

This evening, the 24th February 2025, as Dani was travelling home she was involved in a road accident while driving her scooter and has caused extensive injuries to her face and body.

She lost a lot of blood and is currently being cared for at St. Andrews War Memorial Hospital in Brisbane. However, she requires urgent surgery to repair the fractures in her face and realign her jaw.

She has recently moved to Australia from Brazil few months ago, by herself in a student visa and with lost of hope, but now she needs the community support as the costs of the treatments and surgery have been estimated at $15,000. She has a basic health insurance but it does not cover everything. Dani is such a loved person by anyone around her, and we are desolated to see her in the state she is, her family is in Brazil and we are trying to help in all the possible ways but we don’t have enough and we need help for her treatment!

Any financial support will be a giant help for her to receive all the treatment and care she needs to recover!
