In September, our friend, sister, daughter, partner and mother, Dani Parent, was diagnosed with a rare non-curable form of T-Cell Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. This diagnosis took us all by surprise. Dani has recently completed her second round of chemotherapy and will continue to complete an additional four rounds. Her doctors and support team of friends and family keep optimistic about the plan. This is before she embarks upon a month-long stay at Mass General in Boston for a stem cell transplant with a final aggressive round of chemo.

Over the years, Dani has been there for many of us. From extending her home and kitchen table to family and friends to participating in fundraisers for the Western Mass community to consistently going out of her way to offer a helping hand or shoulder to cry on for anyone who might need it. Anyone who knows Dani knows she is a fierce defender of those who are less fortunate or in need. Despite her struggles, Dani has embodied what it means to be a compassionate, loving, and selfless member of our community and family.

In this challenging moment, Dani, her partner Katy, and their son Dylan need us to return the love. We can do this in many ways, but one meaningful way to help our sister and her family is through financial support. Your support would significantly impact this critical moment, mainly since intense chemotherapy has made regular work and steady income a significant challenge for Dani.
