I am starting this campaign on behalf of my cousin, Nikki.
She lost her father to Covid on January 2, 2021.
We wanted to set something up to cover the cost as Nikki will have to take care of 100% of it, as well as a place for family and friends to leave kind words and support.
Our family is thankful for all of those who have reached out with condolences, prayers and love for Nikki, Tita Luchie, our family, and for our dearly departed father, husband, son, uncle, brother, cousin and friend: Danny Mumar.
I'd like to share Nikki's words here:
"My Dad passed away from COVID today.
On Christmas, my Dad started feeling sick.
On Tuesday, he went to the hospital.
On New Year's Eve, he was in the ICU.
Today, January 2, 2021, my Dad died.
Within the span of a week, my Dad went from being perfectly fine to fighting for his life and ultimately losing.
I am heartbroken and feel as if a huge chunk of my life has been ripped away from me.
I feel robbed of time with my Dad. I don't understand why this happened. He was a good man. And he was the best dad I could ask for.
I want to fight and deny that he isn't here anymore. I don't want to believe that he's gone.
I received so much love, prayers, and support from many different people, and I am thankful and forever appreciative to each and every one of you.
I love you so much Dad, and I will miss you every single day for the rest of my life. Thank you for being my Dad, you were the best and perfect Dad for me."
