Hi, my name is Daniel Sanchez, and I’m sharing my story with a hopeful heart.

I was born four and a half months premature and diagnosed with cerebral palsy and hydrocephalus—a condition that causes excess fluid in the brain. At just a few days old, I had my first brain surgery. Now, I’m preparing for my 48th.

This isn’t just another number—it’s another chapter in a lifelong journey of courage, healing, and starting over. Every few years, I undergo a complex neurosurgical procedure to replace or repair the shunt that keeps pressure from building in my brain. Each time, it resets my world.

After every surgery, I must re-learn how to walk. Imagine being told, again and again, that you’ll need to rebuild from the ground up—every step, every muscle, every movement. It’s exhausting, painful, and humbling. But I keep getting up.

I didn’t walk until I was five years old. But I did it. And I’ve done it over and over again—through therapy, through setbacks, through tears, and with faith.

These surgeries are critical, but they take a toll—physically, emotionally, and financially. Between hospital stays, therapy, equipment, and recovery time, the costs are overwhelming. That’s why I’m asking for your support.
