Daniel’s North Channel Swim

Donation protected
Hi my name is Daniel and I’m a 16 year old student from Newry, Ireland. I’m an avid long distance sea swimmer. In July, I’m attempting to become one of the youngest swimmers to swim the North Channel solo. It’s a 34.5km swim from Ireland to Scotland and is considered one of the toughest sea swims in the world due to cold temperatures and the swarms of lion’s mane jellyfish.

I’ve swam in the Irish Sea all my life but my passion of long distance open water swimming began last year when I became a member of the youngest relay team to swim the channel. My training schedule for the swim is challenging especially when fitting it round studying for AS Levels.

To undertake this swim I require a support boat for guidance, feeds and safety. I would be extremely grateful if you would consider donating towards funding for the cost of the support boat and therefore helping me to achieve my dream.

Thank you for taking the time to read this.
