Daniel's Heart surgery and chest surgery expenses

Hello family and friends. As many of you know, my brother Daniel recently discovered that he had a heart defect called mitral valve prolapse. This condition has caused him to, unfortunately, go into cardiac arrest twice, and it was determined that he would need valve replacement surgery as well as reconstructive chest surgery.

Daniel is an amazing and strong human. However, this surgery did not go as planned. Daniel's heart underwent several complications during surgery. His one-day surgery has turned into an almost two-week medically induced coma due to the right side of his heart failing. His weakened heart led doctors to decide that he needed to rest before attempting further surgeries to ensure his life.

Due to the prolonged surgery and hospital visit, our family has become financially strained. We are asking for your help to reach our goal to continue supporting my parents and my brother Daniel in his road to recovery. My father was out of work for three weeks, and my mother has been out of work for a month and will continue to not work so that she can remain by Daniel's side. Daniel himself will be out of work until further notice, which we are expecting to be several months.

Your donation will go to helping support my mother's hotel and travel expenses, Daniel's medical bills and travel expenses as he will need to return to Dallas for routine checkups and physical therapy, as well as help my family with their lost wages due to being out of work for extended periods of time.

Anything will help, and we are incredibly grateful for all the love and support we already had on this long and challenging road.

Daniel woke up on 7/20/22. He has just been removed from the breathing tube and will begin the long journey of recovery and physical therapy, learning to walk and heal after several major surgeries and procedures. Thank you
