Hi! This fundraiser was created to support Daniel "Boy" Esqueda. Daniel is a southern Cali boy, born in Whitter, CA. He has played baseball since he could hold a ball in his hand. Daniel has a love for the game that burns bright. He started out playing at 2 years old in Rowland Heights Pony Baseball League and has not had a season off since. The next step of his journey was at Whittier Pony. At 13 years old his team was selected to play in the Pony World Series, in Whittier, CA. They played teams from Mexico, Panama, Texas, and the Philippines. He continued his journey throughout High School at Centennial High School in Corona, CA, where unfortunately COVID hit and he was unable to finish off his senior year. But that didn't stop him or his love for the game...
He received a partial scholarship to play at Westcliff University, in Irvine, CA. He is currently enrolled in his junior year, majoring in Business Administration. He continues to flourish and has a big future ahead of him. Daniel is a well-rounded utility player, he can play just about anywhere on the field you put him. Currently, you can find him in left field, but when needed he has the quick hands and knowledge to play third. He trades between 2nd in the line-up or lead-off hitter. He always seems to come up with a double at the key moments, allowing his team to put a run or two on the board. He has a work ethic that is not seen in everyone. He takes the time to continue to learn and adjust his game which allows him to perform with excellence. He is a team player, with a great, uplifting attitude. Most, if not all, his teammates truly enjoy playing beside him. He
An opportunity has presented itself and we would like to show support and send him to the Dodger Adult Camp. Although this is not an exclusive invitation to try out for any Dodger team, we are believing this is a door to an event that could further his career. By attending this 3-day camp, he can receive training, tips, and pointers from the Dodge greats he grew up listening to stories about. What better way to continue to improve your game than by taking, talking, asking questions and listening to the advice the Dodgers have to offer?
All donations earned will be used to pay for the camp, traveling costs, and hotel accommodations (if needed). Any additional funds will be given to Daniel to assist him with his college necessities.
We greatly appreciate any generous donation you can provide and thank you all for your time! We pray the Lord to bless you and your home, tenfold for what you have given. We have an MLB superstar in the making and hope that Daniel continues to shoot for the moon!
