Daniels ACL reconstruction rehabilitation

Donation protected
Hello, my name is Daniel, I'm 31 and currently preparing for my second acl reconstruction surgery on April 15th 2024.
Unfortunately due to the surgery and the recovery time, I will need plenty of rehabilitation.

I am a professional chef of 14 years. I work very hard and sacrifice alot for my career. I'm an avid sportsman's and nature enthusiast.

I have tried to maintain my physical health and well being over the last few years so I can continue to do the things I enjoy in life. Over time, deterioration of the knee joint has made it more difficult to keep up with normal functions. For a long time I was able to continue most activities with some modification, in recent months some setbacks have meant those activities are becoming more difficult and painful. Ultimately leading to being removed from my workplace for safety reasons.

This injury had occurred in march 2021 when my right knee acl ruptured. At the time the left knee was Injured but left untreated. Ever since then I have had instability and bouts of buckling on my left knee. November 2023 I had an mri which Confirmed the extent of the damage to my knee, which requires surgical repair.
I have a complete rupture of my acl ligament, partial of my pcl ligament and 2 separate tears on my medial meniscus.

The surgery is recovery Is 6-12 months for normal function.

Unfortunately with the nature of my job and the industry, I work in places which often do not have extended health benefits and disability insurance for situations like this.

This surgery will put me out of work for at about 3/4 months due to the intensity of the work load required to perform my job. Its possible without complications I can return earlier in a limited capacity but full time is like to be around 4 months.
I will need alot of physiotherapy, potentially some kinesiology sessions and general medical supplies. All of which I costs to roughly $5k for the recovery process.

I try to live my life in a way where I care for others and always try to help other Individuals. This has been very difficult to come to terms with and I hate to ask for help but I'm in a situation without the help I may not be able to recover properly and not only will my well-being and livelihood be affected but the health of my body in the future.

All funds will be used towards medical treatment expenses and supplies.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. All help is greatly appreciated.
