UPDATE 1/9/25
I will be heading out to the Cleveland clinic on Monday, January 12 to go and hopefully get more answers as to what is going on. Lately I have been having at least one if not, two seizures a day some of them are lasting up to a minute some of them have lasted up to 16 minutes. I am nervous, but yet hopeful that I will find some answers as to what is going on. But with that being said, I do not know if it’ll be an admittance or if I’ll just go out there for the day and have studies done. As much as I would like to come home afterwards, I in a way hope that they admit me to do every possible test under the sun. So I could really use some prayers and positive thoughts.
UPDATE as of 1/3/2025
Tonight was probably one of the worst seizures I’ve had yet seizing over 30 minutes at home before Morgan finally called 911. At that point, they came out administered seizure medication and it actually stopped them. My seizures usually would not respond to medication up until tonight. Once again, I was transported back to UTMC. after doing some further digging and looking into my blood work every time I have been at the hospital my Basophilia lab work keeps coming back higher and higher with each visit. Now looking into it, it could be caused by an infection it could be caused by auto immune disease medication’s stress or cancer. When asked on why this level continues getting higher, I was told by the ER doctor to seek out to a hematologist which return I’ll have to have a referral for I ask on why this level is so high and I ask for further testing to see if it’s something that could be causing my seizures And it’s at the point that UMC just refuses to do any further test testing I cannot wait to get out to the clave on clinic and get further answers. Maybe get put on some medication especially now since we know that I do respond to secret medication. The seizures I had tonight were not PNES seizures they were Grand mal seizures. The doctor said that since I have an MRI on the 15th that she was not going to admit me which I understand, but I am begging for more answers. I am begging for more testing and they’re just pushing it off to the side, so wish me luck on the next adventure into Cleveland clinics, neurology department, and hoping to get more answers. It’s really beginning to take a toll on me after coming out of my seizures. I was nonverbal for over two hours. I could respond with eye movements I could not in my head, but I could not speak and that is the first time that has ever happened since this whole journey has started. The seizures I had tonight or completely different from any other seizure I’ve had before. Different symptoms my body was seizing differently than it usually would. When I came out of my seizure, I didn’t know where I was. I didn’t know who I was. I was just surrounded by a bunch of people and it was startling. With that being said, I am still unable to go back to work. I am still unable to drive. I have to be seizure free for six months before I’m able to return behind the wheel.
And that being said any help will be greatly appreciated. Prayers good thoughts visits. My GoFundMe is still active despite everything that has happened with me and my friend that I’ve parted ways. After paying out bills and paying out rent and paying car payments and paying for groceries, money is beginning to diminish. I have applied for assistance. I am eligible for Food and not cash assistance. I have applied for a short-term disability and still have yet to hear back on that. Thank you all that have helped already. I greatly appreciate every single one of you!!!
On December 7th Danielle’s life has been changed in the blink of an eye While out to eat with her family Danielle had began having seizures. From the time 911 was called to the moment they arrived on scene Danielle had already had 13 seizures. Danielle was immediately taken by EMS to UTMC. While at UTMC she still continued to seize. Danielle had been given all seizure meds to try to pull her from the seizures. With that being said none of which worked. At that time she had blood work drawn a CT scan a Xray as well. Danielle developed pneumonia due to aspiration during one of her seizures.
UTMC no longer could help her. At 530a Danielle was transferred to Toledo Hospital. While at Toledo Hospital they ran more blood work which was out of whack. They also decided to run an EEG. The results from the EEG did show indeed that she was having seizures.
Danielle worked two jobs and she worked her ass off every day to provide her and for her 17-year-old daughter. And with the blink of an eye, Danielle was told that she can not work for the next couple months and she cannot drive for the next six months. Danielle has multiple appointments made between having an MRI January 15 a neurologist appointment and a psychology appointment. If you know, Danielle you know then that Danielle would do anything for anybody. At this time, we are asking for friends family to come together and to help her and her daughter during this difficult time.
At this time we are working on any kind of benefits that she can receive to help out financially, whether it be with rental assistance, utility assistance or some kind of food assistance. Unfortunately just because somebody gets sick and is unable to do things for themselves. It does not mean that bills stop accumulating. Danielle unfortunately had lost her job due to her employer not being able to accommodate her needs as far as being medically off work for the next couple months.
At this time my mom has had over 400 seizures and has been taken back to
the hospital on two separate occasions at this point.
