Danielle’s Medical Treatment

Hi! This fundraiser is for a sweet friend and former co-worker of mine, Danielle Worthen. She is a Special Education teacher at East Laurens Elementary in Laurens County. She previously worked with me at East Laurens Primary. She is also a wife and mother of 2 girls who are both in college. Several years ago, she had a medical emergency after a stomach infection with sepsis that almost took her life. She finally recovered from that and then this past October, was diagnosed with colon cancer that metastasized to a non regional lymph node. She is currently undergoing chemotherapy and radiation before they can do surgery. I was given permission by her to do a fundraiser to help with medical costs. I don’t want her medical bills from her previous surgeries and hospital stays combined with her current treatment and costs, to be a burden when she is already going through so much. After talking with several colleagues about fundraising ideas, we decided that this was the easiest and best way to fundraise for her, so that people can give directly to her. She may get feisty with me when she sees it, but she gave permission for a “fundraiser” so this counts! She does so much for her students and family and friends, so we want to show her how much we love and support her! Please pray for her, as well as her family.
