Hi Family and Friends,

On behalf of my brother Mark Groom, and sister in law Danielle Thompson Groom, I am starting this Go FundMe to support Danielle's medical needs. Two weeks ago, she was diagnosed with Stage 4 Rectal Cancer. After further testing, they found it in her liver and lungs as well. Doctors don't have a lot of treatment options for her, but Danielle and Mark have chosen to go to Oregon Health & Science University to undergo treatment to fight this. They are also seeking advice from holistic medical advisors that have had proven results from medicines outside of conventional options (chemo). Mark and Danielle are seeking help because they will be traveling between Bend and Portland for treatments and as you can imagine, the medicine is also very expensive. They believe the care they will receive at this facility, as well as the particular regimine of medicine, will give Danielle the best chance for continuing her quality of life allowing her to live as long as possible. They have done extensive research on this alternative option and have reason to believe this is the best course of action.
