I've had a rougher than usual year. We had a death in the family, of which we weren't notified until weeks later. There was a leak that had to be repaired by opening up a wall, leading to work being done in the apartment. We had to stay elsewhere for almost two months. Thankfully, my family stepped in, and there was only a short hotel stay involved. I was able to work all but one week during this time, but that unpaid week hurt. Unfortunately, during the couple of months leading up to all this, my work hours had been reduced, so every dollar was needed, leading me to miss a few bill payments. I relied on credit cards to make up the difference, thinking I'd catch up later when the hours were reinstated. Now, my work is permanently closing at the end of September. Bad timing all around.
Normally, I'd rely on my savings, but that's depleted from unexpected medical and dental bills two years ago plus the decreased income this past year. It's difficult asking for help, but here I am. Financially, I'm in a bind. I'm hoping to raise funds for a couple of months of rent, groceries, and bills (like my health insurance payment) until I find a new job because I know I won't be able to afford those otherwise.
Any donation, if you have some to give, would be appreciated!
