"This is by far the strangest thing I have had to do, but here we are" Danielle wrote in her first ever CaringBridge post on May 22nd 2022. Just weeks before that post Danielle found a lump in her breast that started a flurry of ultrasounds, mammograms, doctors appointments and now the beginning stages of a treatment plan for Invasive Ductal Carcinoma. The first step of Danielle's treatment plan will be a double mastectomy on June 29th and the outcome of that surgery will determine the next steps in kicking cancer.

Last week Danielle was able to share the news that no cancer genes were detected in her DNA sample and MRI results showed that her lymph nodes appear to be normal. While we are optimistic for a full recovery, we realize this journey won’t happen overnight.

Danielle is supported by her husband Jesse who works with BNSF railway and is a Marine Corp Veteran. The Crowson's have two sons Ollie, 9 and Caleb, 12. Danielle's many friends and family have circled the wagons to support the Crowson's through this fight.

Danielle, Kerry, and I have been friends for over 20 years. Danielle has always been a supportive and dedicated friend. Now is our turn to support her.
