As many of you may already know I have recently relocated back to the Michigan area.
For the past few years while living in Arizona I have found my passion working for the Elderly and Disabled.
After months of looking for a job in this field I have been unable to find one due to my licenses and educations not being able to transfer from state to state.
I am humbly starting over with first getting my Nursing Assistant certification then moving forward with my nursing classes come September. From there I am planning on moving on to the LPN to BSN bridge program.
Getting back into the health field is my main focus while learning from the ground up.
To get there I have run into a few setbacks. This is where I have decided to put my "pride" aside and know it is okay to ask for help.
FASFA and loans will not cover everything and unfortunately there are expenses that I need to pay for out of pocket during and beforehand. I am going to continue to work full time along with school but the reality is I cannot do this on my own at this point.
Some details of those expenses are as follows:
The CNA class is going to be out of pocket $695 plus materials. This is the lowest rate in the area and the only night class option available to work with my current work schedule. I also have to have all mandatory vaccinations and paperwork totaling close to around $475. Along with admission fees at $200, scrubs (white and maroon), a stethoscope, recommended all white shoes, testing fees and more. (please let me know if you are interested to know the specific schools or have any questions I will gladly provide that information).
I am currently applying for scholarships and grants as well due to the required monthly payments that are not covered through FASFA and Student Loans in this fast pace program.
If you find it on your heart to give please know and understand every cent given to help towards my education goals are a blessing and greatly appreciated from the bottom of my heart.
I also want to thank each and every one of you for taking your time to hear my heart and read this and as much as the help with finances are needed I am also asking you cover Zaine and I in prayer through this season. Everything in me wants to be back in my career field and back on our feet again. This season has been tough on me but Zaine is so happy and doing very well here. He is an A and B student, loving the weather, making good friendships, enjoying family, and doing very well in sports. Which is the ultimate reason for my decision to move.
