In November of this year I have the privilege of participating in another missions trip through City Church Chicago to Thailand and Myanmar!  This is City Church's third trip to Thailand to partner with Empower International, who are heavily involved in combating human trafficking in Asia.  They support some of the most cutting-edge organizations that rescue and provide after-care for victims of sex-slavery, begging rings and slave labor. 

Since the vast majority of human trafficking involves children and children without parents are primary targets for the predators, Empower runs orphanages in Thailand, Myanmar and Pakistan to rescue orphans.  They also run bible schools for young men and women to learn the Word of God, discover their God-given calling and receive the practical knowledge necessary to succeed in life and ministry.

Finally, Empower provides new water wells in poor and desperate communities where they are  saving lives and preventing sickness, disease and suffering.
