Nearest and Dearest,

Last week Danielle Motor had a freak accident, nearly severing a finger on her right (dominant) hand. Surgery is required to reattach the tendon in her finger or she will not have any mobility in it (as a bar tender and musician, something pertinent to her livelihood and passion).

Unfortunately, Danielle is not insured at this time.
Though we are in pursuit of financial aid via the Gay and Lesbian Center/Covered CA/Medical, none of those organizations can process through quickly enough to allow for surgery in a manner that is timely enough to save mobility. After a week of research and exhausting other options, surgery ASAP is the only option we have to ensure mobility.

She needs the surgery immediately (within the week), and payment is due up front. She will also need physical therapy subsequent to the surgery, and she already has and will continue missing a great deal of work through this process.

Any contributions would be greatly appreciated, every bit adds up and helps.

Due to the immediacy in which we need funding for this surgery we were unable to host a fundraising gathering leading up to the procedure (something we would have liked to have done), but will keep all of those who want to remain in the loop informed as we move forward and once we know more about the overall process/costs.
