Danielle & Lilly Fire Rebuild Fund
Donation protected
As many/some of you know on November 20, Danielle and Lilly's apartment building had a fire in the hallway due to arson. While their apartment was not on fire, there is major damage to the building and extensive smoke damage to their apartment.
Danielle and Lilly were rescued by the Indianapolis Fire Department via their 3rd floor balcony. I am thankful they are safe, but it has been a struggle to ensure first they have a roof over their head and then those things we take for granted. Danielle was able to get back into their place for a couple of minutes to get a couple of items.
At this time, we believe the girls have a temporary place (a model apartment in their complex) until a new apartment is made ready for them (hopefully this week).
Because of the extensive smoke damage they are going to need to rebuild from almost the beginning. Smoke is extremely difficult to remove from clothing (and right now they only have a couple of changes of clothing), and anything porous (if at all). They will need towels, sheets, and so much more. Thanks to Jeff, they had just done a major shopping trip for food which is now no longer viable.
I am grateful for the Red Cross who provided enough support for a few essentials, Jeff who was there and helped them that day and one of the firefighters who was on scene and had Danielle and Lilly to their place for Thanksgiving.
I realize that many of us have very limited resources and often live paycheck to paycheck, I am asking you to pray about it and see if there is anything you could spare to help my girls out to get back on their feet. I and we dislike having to ask for help, but I also realize that even though we may be miles apart we are family and will want to do whatever we can for each other.
I love you all and thank you for your willingness to pray about if and what you can do.
Let me also say, that if you are unable to help financially, prayers are so very welcome too.
THANK YOU!!!
