Help Danielle Complete Gender Transition
Donation protected
Hey everyone!
Reflecting on the past few years, it’s incredible to see how far I’ve come since beginning my gender transition in early 2020. It’s honestly been the best decision I’ve ever made. I’m happier, healthier (both physically and mentally), and finally living as my true self.
While I’ve made huge progress, there’s still one major hurdle left: Gender Reassignment Surgery (GRS). This surgery would be life-changing, easing so much of the daily dysphoria I still experience. Unfortunately, NHS waiting times are painfully long, and I’ve had to fund most of my transition privately, which has been a real financial struggle and left me in debt.
In other parts of my life, I’ve made massive strides. At 40, I took the plunge and went to uni to study Education Studies (and I’m loving it!). I’m also getting involved in things I never imagined I’d have the confidence to do—speaking on the radio, volunteering with brilliant charities like Mermaids, and even starting an LGBTQ+ supporters’ group for my local football club. It feels amazing to be giving back and supporting others, but the financial pressure of self-funding my transition is still very real, especially now that I’m a student dealing with the rising cost of living.
Asking for help doesn’t come easily to me; I’m so used to being the one helping others. But I’ve realised it’s okay to lean on people sometimes, and right now, I really need your support to get through this final step. Any contribution, no matter how small, would mean the world to me. If there’s anything left over, I’ll donate it to Mermaids, a charity that’s been a lifeline for so many like me.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and for any support you can offer. Your kindness truly makes a difference, and I’m beyond grateful for every bit of love and encouragement. Together, we can help make the world a more loving and accepting place.
Lots of love,
