My name is Tammy, and I’m reaching out on behalf of a remarkable woman named Danielle, who is 46 years old and living with Cerebral Palsy. I asked for her permission to request funds on her behalf and before I used her pictures and video. I met Danielle recently and learned she was living in a shopping plaza on Thomasville Road in Tallahassee. Her story is heartbreaking and one of far too many in our city. ANY city for that matter....

Danielle has lived on and off the streets for years, facing both her physical disability of Cerebral Palsy which makes her walking and standing for long periods of time very difficult ( as she is told to "move along" ). Her mental health struggles, from a childhood of a veteran father who was a Navy Seal with unmet therapy for his PTSD and an alcoholic abusive mother. When her depression becomes overwhelming, she sometimes enters Capital Health Behavioral Center, where she is met with love and compassion. HCA I have to give it to you, you employ nurses and staff who care deeply for those lost in a broken system. ( but its not a long term solution) HCA Capital, I see you and everyone else should too! remarkable healthcare staff that shows no limit to compassion.

Noteworthy is her explanation of why she had to " make herself ugly" so she could survive the streets with unwanted male provocation.

Despite my relentless efforts, calls to organizations go unanswered, or I hit walls of red tape. It’s clear: our system is failing the most vulnerable or overwhelmed by more demand than resources to meet them.

I am raising funds to help Danielle secure dignified, long-term housing, basic necessities, and continued access to mental health services. Every dollar will go directly toward supporting her transition off the streets and into safety and stability.

I am seeking enough money to get her stable and then we can continue to advocate for her until she is whole again and the resources she needs are found because it takes so much time and she cant wait for the "red tape".

This is more than a fundraiser. It’s a call to action. This is literally life or death for her.
