Danielle and Dawson - Car Crash
RAISING MONEY FOR MEDICAL BILLS AND ANY NEEDS OVER THE NEXT MONTH.
My sister Danielle and 2 year old nephew Dawson were rear ended by a car going approximately 50 MPH while at a complete stop on S Academy and I-25 on February 6th around 7pm. The driver seemed to be distracted and under the influence. Danielle and Dawson survived but are banged up pretty badly.
Danielle’s air bags did not deploy and her seat malfunctioned and was thrown back into Dawson’s seat behind her. Danielle was unable to open her or Dawson’s doorbut was able to crawl through the passenger side door and pull Dawson out of his car seat.
Thankfully, a retired police officer witnessed the crash and assisted Danielle and Dawson, took pictures, and gathered a phone number to reach out to our mom.
Also, miraculously (thank God), a medically trained friend of Morgan and mine also witnessed the crash and pulled over to assist (what are the odds?). She checked Danielle and also Dawson who was laid on the ground bleeding and unresponsive. She grabbed his little hand and thankfully, he squeezed her fingers. This friend also kept the driver who hit Danielle away as she was trying to come up to them and touch Dawson.
They were taken by ambulance to Memorial Central and went through a series of tests and scans which came back good (again - a huge miracle! ).
Please continue to pray for Danielle and Dawson as they will be recovering from soreness, scrapes, and bruising.
Also, if you are able to give towards any needs in the future it would be greatly appreciated.
