This Summer, I'll be interning at missions program through InterVarsity Christian Fellowship: The Los Angeles Urban Project (LAUP)! LAUP is a program geared at partnering college students with the urban poor in Downtown LA, and I would love your support!
What we'll be doing:
- Interacting with the community by going to a local church and serving the immediate area
- Sacrificing our privilege of using our cell phones or computers to focus on God and serving those around us
- Committing to live with a fixed income to learn how to lead a more frugal lifestyle
About LAUP!
- It's a six-week program lasting from June 21 to August 1 located in Downtown LA
- We're partnered with organizations like Door of Hope, the Harambee Center, Bresee Institute & Redeemer Community Partners
- It began with one student in 1981 as the Pasadena Youth Program and grew to a program serving 750 residents at 12 different sites!
