Daniel's Year of Service with Christ in the City
Donation protected
As I am well into this year of mission, I am becoming more and more convinced that this is truly where God wants me. More than that, I am seeing the many fruits of how He works through this beautiful ministry.
Christ in the City has provided numerous opportunities to encounter the people experiencing homelessness in Denver, to create healthy friendships with them, and show them the love of Christ. I have the privilege of going on street walks everyday in order to meet new people, and catch up with old friends as well. We also hold a Lunch in the Park every week, at which we provide a hot meal and much needed material donations for our homeless friends on the street. At CIC, I have learned better how to encounter the human person, and truly see each person as a child of a God--a soul that God desperately wants.
On top of the outreach ministry, I also get to take classes in Theology, have plenty of time for prayer and the sacraments, and live in an amazing community that pushes me and helps me grow as a man of God.
There are many aspects to Christ in the City (see my newsletter), but each of them is focused on formating and developing life-long missionaries. So that when we all leave here, we can continue God's work, no matter where He takes us next.
As a year-long missionary, I am responsible for raising 100% of the funds necessary, and also will not be able to work during this time. If you are at all able, I humbly ask that you prayerfully consider joining me on this mission! Join me in truly knowing, loving, and serving "the least of our brother's and sister's..."
Also, here is a great video explaining more about the mission!
